Introduction

I know the War in Iraq isn't officialy over, but it is supposedly in its final year and this blog is here to explore whether or not we have made enough political gains in Iraq up to this date for it to be considered a Coalition victory by later generations. I will not discuss whether or not the U.S., U.K., or other Coalition aliies made the right decsision by invading Iraq in 2003. I will also try to avoid all of the domestic politics that has nothing to do with the War. This is about the War itself and the brave men and women who have fought in it. On this site I will view the War in four sections: the initial Inavsion and blitzkrieg campaign, the anti-Coalition insurgency, the sectarian violence, and the withdrawal that continues still. In these four sections, I will find out in which ones did the Coalition gain a distinct victory or defeat. I feel I have a duty as an American to learn about the sacrifices that have been made for this nation and whether or not they were made in vain. I dedicate this to the victims of the War.
